To expand access to high-quality health care in southern Orange County, Providence has embarked on the design and construction of a new 38,000 SF medical office building in Rancho Mission Viejo, California. The building, inspired by transitional farmhouse architecture, includes urgent care, imaging, primary care, specialty care, building support, and exterior amenities. Aligned with Providence’s “WE ACT” framework, which focuses on five key areas of environmental stewardship – Waste, Energy and Water, Agriculture and Food, Chemicals, and Transportation – the new all-electric facility will be one of the first healthcare projects in California to utilize a mass timber structural system.
