This project involved a comprehensive ground floor remodel of the Nursing Wing at San Mateo Medical Center to relocate essential hospital functions into seismically compliant OSHPD-1 space. The renovation included outpatient rehabilitation services such as physical, occupational, speech, respiratory, and creative arts recreational therapy, as well as audiology, pain clinic, home learning lab, and dietary services. Additional scope included upgrades to the central plant and a new loading dock. The project also accommodated a dietary kitchen serving all inpatient units, a public cafeteria and courtyard, PBX telephone operator offices, and emergency storage.
