In an effort to modernize clinical facilities and expand access to healthcare services throughout the region, Scripps Health partnered with Taylor Design in a multiphase campus transformation that began with a master plan. The new three-story Lusardi Tower will serve as a multifunctional hub and connection point for the hospital, adding 36 patient beds and bringing together medical-surgical and ICU units, surgical services, and expanded labor and delivery. Additionally, it consolidates laboratory, pharmacy, dietary, and other key support functions. Throughout the facility daylight and outdoor views area maximized while warm tones and local artwork contribute to a calming setting. Staff and provider spaces are thoughtfully designed with efficiency and collaboration in mind. One of nine planned phases, the project is expected to continue through 2030.
